On the safe side with FLÜHS and the newly created KTW hygiene certification of conformity 1+
FLÜHS secures drinking water quality.
The quality of drinking water running out of taps in Germany is excellent. It is not only the quality of the water being of substantial importance but just as well the material of pipes, faucets and along with those, their components coming in contact with water.
The German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) has published the latest valuation basis for materials in contact with drinking water. This KTW-BWGL will replace all previous KTW guidelines and is valid and legally binding as from 21 March, 2021.
At the same time as publishing the new KTW-BWGL, the UBA has also brought out the recommendation „Conformity attestation of product hygiene suitability for drinking water“ in which the process of issuing a confirmation of conformity is described in order to obtain a hygiene certificate. On the basis of this recommendation, respective certification programs have been established at the DVGW CERT, which result in issuing a hygiene certificate when all requirements are met.
FLÜHS has been certified as one of the first companies by HY„Hygiene-Institut des Ruhrgebiets“ according to these guidelines. As from now, we are UBA compliant 1+ and, therefore, future ready!
